Manifesto: The beauty that sustains the world
The story of Amakos da Amazônia began in 2021, when two generations of the same family united by a shared passion: the Amazon. Soon Hee Han, a specialist in holistic wellness and a researcher focusing on the effects of stress, holistic beauty, fine, functional, and botanical perfumery, and aroma dermatology, combined her expertise with the technological vision of young Yuri Han. Thus, the startup Amakos da Amazônia was born. The name is a combination of AMA (Amazon) and KOS (Cosmetics). We are guided by the ancestral use of Amazonian plants, boosted and certified by science. Our purpose is to positively impact people, the forest, communities, and the planet.
Our mission is to be a benchmark for natural, effective, and ethical products from the Amazon Biome for human beauty and well-being.

and clean formulations to create safe and effective cosmetics. We promote a "Standing Forest" preservation policy to
develop natural cosmetics, meaning our business values the
forest, generating income and jobs through sustainable supply chains.
Biotechnological product line focused on clean beauty
Here at AMAKOS da Amazônia, we are dedicated to manufacturing high-performance products using green technology. The clean beauty concept is applied to all our cosmetics to provide a clean and sustainable beauty experience. We currently offer 12 products divided into the Copaíba Hydra, Cacay Vital, Sangue de Dragão Antioxi, and Nano Açaí + Vitamin C 10% lines, all sold via e-commerce to reach every Brazilian
municipality.
Technology and green science go hand in hand
We work by combining innovation and contemporary design
with practices that promote prosperity for our partners and sustainability for the Amazonian biome. In addition to using natural biotechnological active ingredients, we invest in scientific research and technologies, such as nanotechnology, to guarantee and prove the efficacy of our products.
With green science, cosmetic production is modernized in the search for non-timber ingredients whose extraction causes less impact.
Cacay is an example of this: the ingredient is extracted from the seed of the fruit, and replanting is faster and simpler than for a large tree.
Cooperativism in the Amazon
We maintain partnerships with communities and sustainable development reserves. One of them is the Uatumã Sustainable Development Reserve (RDS), in the municipalities of São Sebastião do Uatumã and Itapiranga, AM. For example, copaíba, which produces a highly complex oil-resin used in our cosmetics, is sustainably extracted from that region.
Together, we promote food security, income
generation, and protection against all forms of violence, including domestic violence.

Our efforts are recognized by certifications such as PETA Cruelty Free & Vegan, Eureciclo, and Halal, in addition to strictly following ISO 16128 standards for natural and organic cosmetics.
