The Forest Bath – Phytoncides is rich in alpha-pinene, d-limonene, d-3-carene, and dozens of other active components found in forest air. It is a blend of essential oils with the same relief found in the air of the humid tropical forest; in addition to improving immune response and balancing emotional response (anti-stress and anxiolytic), it also has an antioxidant effect that mitigates oxidative changes (which cause premature aging).

Over a decade ago, scientists discovered that the inhalation of essential oils emitted by tropical trees is primarily responsible for the effects of “forest bathing.” In 1928, Dr. Boris P. Tokin named these substances “phytoncides” to define the active substances released by plants that exert antimicrobial and immunological action.

White Breu (Protium heptaphyllum), also known as Brazilian frankincense, is a tree of the Burseraceae family found in the Amazon region and the Cerrado, which produces an oily resin also known as waxy white breu. It is a resin highly used by traditional peoples of the Amazon to alleviate symptoms of respiratory diseases and in sacred rituals. It is a highly stimulating oil that strengthens the respiratory system and spirituality; it facilitates reconnection with oneself and meditation. Furthermore, the fragrance of breu balances the 6th chakra (ajna) and acts as a powerful opener of the psychic spectrum, eliminating miasmas and negative energies.

The copaiba oil used is produced by the communities of the Sustainable Development Reserve (RDS) of Uatumã, located in the State of Amazonas in the municipalities of São Sebastião do Uatumã and Itapiranga. Copaiba is popularly known as the antibiotic of the forest and as the medicinal oil par excellence. The action of copaiba is anti-inflammatory, healing, and antiseptic, in addition to regenerating skin tissues. It is composed of a rich combination of diterpenes and triterpenes (the main active compounds of the Copaifera genus), with the primary compound being copalic acid, which strengthens the immune system and reduces chronic stress, as well as improving the health of the skin and the respiratory and musculoskeletal systems.
